Performance: Jayam Ravi as the con-artist-turned-astronaut has delivered his fantastic performance. He also does justice to the character of a father. Nivetha Pethuraj as the stylish Defence Space Division officer performs well. There is absolutely no romance in the movie, which works to its advantage. Jayam Ravi’s son Aarav Ravi made his debut in the industry with Tik Tik Tik. Balaji Venugopal, Rethika Srinivas, Jayapraksh, Arjunan and others performed accordingly.
Technical: The director Shakti Soundar Rajan needs lot of applause for his work, who dared to make a space thriller movie like Tik Tik Tik. D Imman’s music is one of the major highlight of this film. Tik Tik Tik has decent visual effects. The screenplay is predictable. Editing by Pradeep E. Ragav is good.
Analysis: The plus points of Tik Tik Tik are new theme and genre, decent special effects, graphic and the performance by its cast. On the flipside, there is no any strong villain in the movie that dilutes the impact of the climax. Few Comic scenes damaged the feel as audience who expect a gripping space thriller. The censors have muted the name of the country from which the team steals the missile to destroy the asteroid. Enjoy Tik Tik Tik. If you are a big fan of space thrillers.
